The precommercial prototype of the domestic river turbine is attracting interest at the ICOE conference 2012 in Dublin, Ireland. For the first time, the “IKEA” concept is put to the test once more. The turbine is dismounted, packed and checked in for a flight to Dublin. Probably the first time in history a river turbine makes a trip by air.
