The American president, Barack Obama, unveils the Clean Power Plan today. Some are calling this revised plan one of the most important steps ever taken in the fight against climate change. Idénergie was selected to participate in the event C2 Montreal, which took place from May 26th to the 28th at the Arsenal in Griffintown neighborhood. During the three day event, a charging station for cell phones placed in the Garage section of the Outer Plaza was powered solely by the energy generated by the river turbines installed in the Saint-Gabriel Lock, located about 600 meters from the site of C2 Montreal. The river turbines was also exposed in the E-Merge section, that combined art and emerging technologies.

The founders of Idénergie were present during the ICOE 2014 (International Conference on Ocean Energy) organized by Marine Renewables Canada in Halifax (Nova Scotia). The attendes had the opportunity to discover Idénergie’s smart convertor and preview the new 2015 model of the river turbine!
