Idénergie at the National Assembly of Quebec!

Within the framework of the particular consultations and the hearings on the Commission’s green book entitled “Modernizing the environmental authorization regime of Law on the quality of the environment”, Idénergie presented its report in front the Transport and Environment Commission.
The latter contains the proposals and the expectations of Idénergie towards the Ministry of Sustainable development, Environment and Climate Change for the clarification of the river turbine in Quebec’s regulation.

First public demonstration of Idénergie’s river turbine

On June 20 th 2014 was held the first public demonstration of the Idénergie’s river turbine. The event aimed to share the result of three years of work and present to the public the first commercially available river turbine designed for domestic use. During this visit, we were fortunate enough to have speeches from Mr. Jean-François Parenteau, Mayor of the Borough of Verdun, madame Sylvie Cordeau, Vice-President, Philanthropy and sponsorship at Québécor Media Inc.. and Denis Leclerc, President and CEO of Écotech Québec. Thetis EMR was created to encourage technological, economic and industrial initiatives to help the Marine Renewable Energy industry. The precommercial prototype of the domestic river turbine is attracting interest at the ICOE conference 2012 in Dublin, Ireland. For the first time, the “IKEA” concept is put to the test once more. The turbine is dismounted, packed and checked in for a flight to Dublin. Probably the first time in history a river turbine makes a trip by air.
